It is a difficult decision to choose amputation on your dog as a form of treatment. Toe amputation for your dog may be a safe alternative to treat some severe conditions, traumas, fractures and deformities, when other remedies fail. Your dog can live a pain free quality of life while compensating well without the affected toe.

How much does a Toe Amputation cost?

The all inclusive fee is $1,380.00 for patients under 22 lbs. / $1,980.00 for patients over 22 lbs.

This includes:

  • Intake Physical Examination
  • Pre-Anesthetic Bloodwork: CBC, full chemistry panel, clotting profile when indicated
  • EKG
  • I.V. Catheter
  • I.V. Fluids
  • Pre-Anesthetic analgesia drugs
  • Anesthesia induction drugs tailored to the individual patient 
  • Preoperative imaging (Radiographs)
  • Anesthesia Maintenance on isoflurane
  • Anesthesia monitoring by: EKG, CO2 end tidal, O2 saturation, Blood pressure, body temperature
  • Toe Amputation Surgery
  • Histopathology
  • Post-surgical recovery monitoring
